There are a variety of arts, cultural and community events taking place in and around Wellington throughout the year.

We feature events in Wellington and the surrounding areas of Hadley & Leegomery, Wrockwardine & Admaston, Little Wenlock, Lawley, Waters Upton & Crudgington, the Wealdmoors, Longden-on-Tern and High Ercall.

'At Home' with Shropshire Male Chorus

A concert of choral music from a choir who's roots are firmly planted in the village of Hadley, where it started life as Sankey's Castle Works Male Voice Choir over sixty years ago. Musical director: Derek Westwood.

Heritage Open Day (various locations)

Multi-terrain run of approximately 5-6 kilometres, attracting athletes of all ages from across the area.

Wellington Literary Festival

Wellington Town Council presents its 11th Annual Literary Festival with a host of events programmed throughout the month, including visits from broadcaster George Alagiah, parliamentary sketch writer Simon Hoggart and novelist Louis de Bernieres.

Welcome: a new play by Lucy Corbett

Wellington playwright Lucy Corbett premieres her new play exploring grief and lonliness. Performed by 'My Little Theatre Company', the cast includes Lucy alongside Ben Goh and Holly Jarret.
